Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Berry Filling Ingredients
6 Cups of Berries of Your Choice
¼ Cup Water
¼ Cup Orange Juice
1 Cup Brown Sugar
Filling Directions
Pour water and orange juice into a 2-quart saucepan.
Place saucepan on medium heat and add berries.
Top with brown sugar.
Stir mixture together.
Simmer on the stove for approximately 10 minutes, until mixture just
comes to a boil.
Pour the mixture into a 2-quart iron skillet.
Dough Ingredients
1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/8 Teaspoon Salt
1 Cup Whipping Cream
6 Tablespoons COLD Unsalted Butter, cut into pea-size pieces
Dough Directions
In a medium-size bowl, pour in the flour, ½ cup granulated sugar,
baking soda, and salt.
Whisk the try ingredients together thoroughly. Pour in the whipping cream.
Pour in the cold butter pieces.
Mix ingredients with a spatula, and then with your hands until the
mixture comes together into a ball.
Form ½-inch balls from the ball of dough and cover the top of the
berry mixture in the skillet.
Sprinkle ½ cup granulate sugar over the top of the dough.
Put in preheated 375 degree oven for approximately 20 minutes, or
until golden brown.
Serve the cobbler warm, and top each serving with ice cream flavor and
topping of your choice.
